The Pathway to Healing

You may have wanted therapy for awhile, but either had a negative experience in the past or hesitate to take the time for yourself. When you allow yourself to face your trauma and process the pain, we can begin to shape a better future.

1:1 Therapy Session

In these traditional talk therapy sessions, we sit together, either in person or through a safe telehealth platform, as you take time and space to unpack and process your story. In these 50-minute sessions, I listen to your pain and your stories, and guide you towards both owning your past and accessing your voice.

At this time I do not take insurance. Each session is $150, charged to your Sessions Health account. It's my hope that when you walk out the door, you can focus on your own reflection instead of paperwork. If necessary, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursement; often they do reimburse a portion, depending on your plan.

1:1 Therapeutic Yoga Session

Through somatic practices, we use yoga— off the mat and on— to help bring awareness and connection with your emotions and feelings. Using grounding techniques, you make choices with your body, taking effective action, and creating rhythms and flow...and then process it through psychotherapy. In this blend of eastern philosophy and western neuroscience, you are empowered to experience holistic healing.

If you are interested in exploring other ways of healing outside of traditional talk therapy, this is a great way to deepen self-discovery and union between your mind and body.

Group Therapy

This virtual therapeutic yoga group is designed to support caregivers: teachers, therapists, social workers, parents, etc. You carry the joys and sorrows of the people around you; give yourself space and time to care for your own needs. You cannot pour from an empty cup; refill yourself through this 5-week class designed just for you.

If you have wanted to try therapeutic yoga, body movement, and somatic practices but have been hesitant, this is an affordable way to practice self-care.

In the midst of it all, don’t forget about you.

Disordered Eating

After years and years of trying so many ways to heal your relationship with your body and food you are overwhelmed, feeling defeated, and exhausted.

You are ready to finally find healing and resolution.

Together we will make real change that will move your story into creating cohesion within so that you can finally live the life you were meant to always live.

Feeling free to exist at peace with your body.

Here are a few issues we can address:

  • Disordered Eating (anorexia, binge eating, bulimia)

  • Anxiety

  • Body image

  • Body shame

  • Building a harmonious relationship with your body

  • Low self-esteem

  • Negative feelings about self

  • Compulsive eating habits

  • Obsession with food and exercise

Trauma

If you find yourself drained and burned-out (lack of energy, struggling with migraines/headaches, often angry or frustrated, difficulty finding joy, etc.), then it’s likely your physical and emotional well-being have been affected by stress or trauma.

Therapy can help you identify what you are feeling, and discover what you need to live fully alive.

Through the use of compassionate tools such as yoga, somatic practices, and Internal Family Systems, we will create a cocoon of safety within your body and help to heal vulnerable burdens within. We will bridge the connection back towards your wise wisdom within so that you break free from attachment wounds that have been holding you back in relationships.

Your story will no longer be one of shame but one of resilience, finding your voice and speaking your truth.

Here are a few issues we can address:

  • Childhood trauma (physical, sexual, emotional, neglect)

  • Relational trauma

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Lack of connection with body

  • Difficult with boundaries

  • Difficult with self-care

  • Chronic pain or autoimmune diseases

  • Deescalation strategies and coping tools

BIPOC Community

As people who have been colonized, we are often expected to be out of our bodies in order to assimilate into the white-dominant America. As a white-presenting Filipino woman, it’s taken me years to unravel my identity from the expectations and standards in our country.

Embracing who you are should not mean quieting or adjusting your culture, race, or identity. In doing the work together, you learn to welcome your body back to its rightful place, reclaiming your breath and beauty for yourself and your ancestors. Cultivating self care strategies is both an act of healing and resistance.

Here are a few issues we can address:

  • Social justice experiences

  • Intergenerational trauma

  • Boundaries

  • Somatic work

  • Understanding all parts of self and how to integrate your inner system

  • Communication

  • Grief and loss work

  • Stigma against mental health support
