Some FAQs on to how to work with me:

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance and am considered an out of network provider. My rate is $150 per session. I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to insurance for reimbursement and often they do reimburse at 60-80%, depending on your plan.

Where are you located?

I have an office in the building of 10 Pinckney Colony, Suite 314, Bluffton, SC 29910. There is plenty of parking and easy access. I also offer telehealth options if you’d prefer to do our work remotely.

How often will I need to see you?

It depends. Some clients I see for 50-60 minutes one time a week for a couple months, some 45 minutes bi-weekly for over a year. It all depends on your needs and the goals we create together. We do regular check-ins to make sure you are getting what you need out of therapy.

Are you available evenings or on the weekend?

I try to keep my schedule to mornings and afternoons and have limited evening and Saturday appointments available.

Can you work with people outside of South Carolina?

Yes! My therapeutic yoga and group yoga classes are all available through a safe telehealth platform for anyone.

Some FAQs on therapy:

What is holistic therapy?

It’s a blend of work on both the mind and body. Both are intertwined; when you practice talk therapy, we use breathwork and grounding exercises to bring the mind and body in balance.

What does the blend of yoga + therapy look like?

Practically speaking, this looks like somatic practices that move you to the mat, checking in with your breathing, or using traditional yoga poses to regain your mental and emotional footing. This is not a practice of exercise; it’s a practice of helping the body to move towards stillness so you have more autonomy over your thoughts and feelings.

How do you define trauma?

Trauma is a disconnection of self that happens when we have to abandon ourselves in order to survive. It’s the body’s response to events such as natural disasters, divorce, moves, life transitions, and abuse. But trauma can also happen in relational settings, such as being denied emotional connection/reciprocity from your parents, having caregivers who are stressed and unable to be present with you as a child, living in a society with oppressive and colonial systems, etc.
